A cryptocurrency donation worth 200,000 USD in BNB from 2018 for the terminal cancer fund in Malta has now risen to nearly 39 million USD, but remains unused. According to on-chain data, the donation wallet containing 30,644 BNB has remained intact for the past six years.

In 2021, the lawsuit regarding wallet access was withdrawn, confirming that the funds could still be used. However, the fund remains "frozen," leading the community to question why this huge donation has not been used for medical purposes.

Experts believe that legal and administrative barriers are the main reasons. Meanwhile, Malta has only two palliative care specialists, which is severely lacking compared to the demand. The disbursement of this BNB could help improve the healthcare system and support cancer patients nationwide.
