Aptos Labs has partnered with Boston Consulting and Hang Seng Bank to complete the "Digital Hong Kong Dollar +" pilot and research, with over 60% of investors planning to double down on tokenization funds.
According to a report from 深潮 TechFlow on October 28, Aptos Labs, in collaboration with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), released the “Hong Kong Digital Currency and Tokenization Asset Survey”. The survey covered more than 500 retail fund investors, among which 61% of retail investors in Hong Kong and mainland China indicated plans to double their investment in tokenized funds, primarily attracted by the higher liquidity, transparency, around-the-clock trading, and programmability features provided by tokenization technology.
At the same time, the study further identified four typical investment groups: active traders in Hong Kong expect to increase their tokenization fund allocation from 10% to 26%, high net worth individuals from 5% to 16%, long-term investors from 8% to 25%, and mainland investors plan to increase from 11% to 24%.
The report also summarizes the results of the second phase pilot of the “Digital Hong Kong Dollar +” conducted by Aptos Labs, BCG, and Hang Seng Bank in collaboration with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The pilot used Aptos (the only public chain participant in the project) as the underlying architecture, successfully validating key functions of digital currency in tokenization fund settlement, such as instant atomic settlement, embedded compliance, and cross-border efficiency, while further exploring new commercial functions and investor application scenarios.
