O
My years of experience in the Crypto Assets market tell me that the main reason most investors fail is not due to lack of technical skills, but rather stems from a psychological weakness - "reluctance to sell".
This mentality is particularly evident during market adjustments. Many people always hold onto the idea of "waiting a bit longer, I'll sell during the rebound." However, when the rebound comes, they feel that the increase is not enough; when the price drops, they continue to wait. In this back-and-forth struggle, account profits are gradually eroded, ultimately turning from profit to break-even, and then from break-even to loss.
In contrast, those veterans who can survive in the market for a long time understand a principle very well: once the market falls, they decisively cut losses. They do not fight against the market and do not fantasize about prices recovering. When they realize they have judged the direction incorrectly, they immediately admit their mistakes, cut losses, and reconfigure their positions. They know very well that one loss is not scary, but delaying the cut loss is truly fatal.
As an experienced trader, I also have my own iron rule: unless I have absolute confidence in the long-term value of a project, I must have a plan in place before opening a position—clearly defining stop-loss and take-profit points, and strictly adhering to them.
In the world of trading, the key to success lies not in who is smarter, but in who is more disciplined. Traders who can survive long-term are often not the ones who make the most accurate predictions, but the ones who cut their losses the quickest.
It is worth remembering that:
1. The market will not change direction because of your reluctance.
2. True experts can achieve profits within reasonable stop losses.
To thrive in the Crypto Assets market, you must first learn how to avoid significant losses. No matter how the market changes, one thing remains constant — the moment you hesitate to sell is often when the losses begin.
Following strict trading discipline and decisively cutting losses is the key to surviving and profiting in this challenging market.
