Just read about this wild case where some hacker called Spirdark basically broke into musician accounts and started selling unreleased tracks on the dark web for Bitcoin. Ed Sheeran was one of the victims - this guy managed to steal and sell at least two of his songs. The crazy part? Police found over 1000 unreleased songs from 89 different artists on his devices when they raided his place in Ipswich. Turns out Spirdark was a 23-year-old named Adrian Kwiatkowski. Investigation started back in 2019 when music agents started complaining about hacked accounts. He got caught, pleaded guilty to like 20 charges - unauthorized computer access, copyright violations, possession of criminal property. The Bitcoin wallet he used to collect payments ended up being the evidence that nailed him. Just got sentenced to 18 months in prison. Detective said he was a highly-skilled hacker but also caused massive financial damage to artists and studios. Honestly this whole thing shows why the dark web and crypto connection is such a problem - these guys think they're anonymous but authorities are getting better at tracking the blockchain. Pretty crazy how one person can cause that much damage to so many artists just by being good at hacking.
