Multiple venture capital firms are offering $800 billion to invest in Anthropic, doubling its valuation from two months ago.

ME News report: April 15 (UTC+8), following this development. Anthropic declined to comment. The secondary market also moved higher in tandem. On the private company stock trading platform Caplight, Anthropic’s valuation has reached $688 billion, up 75% in three months. As a reference, OpenAI’s last completed funding round valued the company at $852 billion, and the highest bid from venture capitalists for Anthropic has come close to this level. Several investors attribute the demand to revenue growth driven by Claude Code. Anthropic announced last week that its annualized revenue has surged from about $9 billion at the end of last year to $30 billion, and the number of enterprise clients with annual spending of more than $1 million has topped 1,000—more than doubling in less than two months. The company is preparing for an IPO that may take place later this year. (Source: BlockBeats)
