iShares Ethereum Trust Submits Application for ETH Staking
Gate News bot message, BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust has taken a significant step by filing an application to include staking activities in its operations. The filing with the SEC details the Trust's intention to engage in ETH staking through a qualified custodian, which would enable the generation of staking rewards for the Trust.
The Trust plans to delegate its staking activities to validators who meet specific security and operational criteria. Through this mechanism, the Trust aims to participate in Ethereum's proof-of-stake consensus mechanism while maintaining custody of the staked ETH.
