A single sentence can reverse market sentiment! The truth and trading playbook behind Bitcoin’s rebound as US-Iran negotiations ease
Markets change in the blink of an eye; a single statement rewrites the overall mood.
U.S. Vice President Vance said that the US-Iran negotiations have made significant progress. Combined with market reports that on April 16 both sides will restart peace talks, the continuously tense geopolitical situation instantly cooled, and global markets completed a rapid switch from risk-aversion to optimism.
Earlier, supported by heightened tensions in the Middle East, risk-averse sentiment was at a peak, oil prices climbed steadily, concerns about inflation and stagflation kept spreading, and funds crowded into safe-haven assets, putting broad pressure on risk assets.
As geopolitical negatives faded, safe-haven funds quickly withdrew; oil prices fell accordingly. Funds then flowed back into risk assets like Bitcoin, directly driving BTC to break into a rebound rally.
But you must stay clear-headed: this round of Bitcoin’s rise is not a trend reversal, but a typical short-covering squeeze.
Leverage shorts are concentrated and closed out to cut losses, which in turn creates a forced-short cycle of “prices rising → more shorts getting liquidated → prices rising further.” From the order book, it looks strong, but in reality it lacks incremental buy orders to add new support; it’s driven more by passive leverage funds than by a comprehensive recovery in bullish sentiment from the broader market.
From a trading perspective, this rebound absolutely cannot be taken as a technical reversal. The market has not flipped the prior big trend; overall, it still mainly maintains a high-short (short-biased) outlook.
Geopolitical talks involve extreme uncertainty. Subsequent news is highly likely to trigger sharp swings in market sentiment. Chasing after a rebound is very risky—don’t be misled by short-term price strength. Keep tight control of your position size and wait for clearer trend signals before making decisions!
