Ethereum researcher Anders Elowsson has introduced EIP-7999, a proposal aimed at establishing a unified multidimensional fee market. The proposal suggests that each transaction should use a max_fee to specify the maximum amount of ETH the user is willing to pay. Once implemented, the protocol will ensure that transactions can cover all dimensions of Gas fees, treating the max_fee as interchangeable across resources, thereby enabling more efficient capital utilization.
