#PI# Pi Network launches a hackathon to enhance the utility of Pi Coin.
The Pi Core Team announced the first hackathon since the launch of the open network, inviting developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) that can create real-world use cases for $PI Coin. The prize pool is 160,000 Pi ((~$60,800)), and winners can receive up to 75,000 Pi.
The event will start on August 21, and the final submission deadline is October 15. Developers are encouraged to use Pi's open-source tools, such as PiOS, Pi App Studio, and Brainstorm.
In addition to application building, hackathons may provide momentum for Pi coin, as analysts emphasize the accumulation of whales, potential major exchange listings, and strong bullish signals on the charts.
