Google launched AI Mode in 180 countries
Google Corporation has announced the global expansion of AI Mode — a search feature that allows users to ask complex and clarifying questions for a deeper exploration of topics. Additionally, the tool has been enhanced with agent and personalized capabilities.
AI Mode will be available in 180 countries in English. Previously, it was available in the USA, UK, and India. Support for other languages and regions is promised to be added soon.
As for agency functions, users can now use the service to book tables at restaurants. In the future, support for appointments with local services and purchasing tickets for events will be available.
AI Mode allows you to formulate a request taking into account a number of preferences: company size, date, time, location, and favorite cuisine. The tool will analyze the availability of establishments in real time and suggest suitable options.
"AI Mode will do all the preparatory work and immediately provide a link to the booking page so you can easily take the final step and confirm the reservation," the company's announcement states.
This feature is being rolled out to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the US as part of a Labs experiment called "Agentic capabilities in AI Mode."
The search function operates in the same test mode, tailored to individual interests. For example, a user can pose a query: "I have only an hour, I need a quick option for lunch, any suggestions?" The AI Mode will take into account previous dialogues, places viewed in the search and Maps, and will select suitable options.
The AI will take into account the user's preferences: if they like Italian cuisine and establishments with summer terraces, the service will offer corresponding options.
Personalization settings can be changed in the settings section.
AI Mode now supports the ability to share search results with other users. This can be useful for trip planning, joint celebrations, and other situations.
Recall that in August, Google released a series of Pixel 10 smartphones, where the main focus is on artificial intelligence technologies.
