What is Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI)?
Look, there is this so-called Alliance of Superintelligence that brought together three companies that pretend to care about the democratization of AI. I say pretend because, you know, deep down it's just another group wanting to take advantage of the AI hype.
The Fetch.ai (FET) comes with this talk of an AI platform with Web3 technology. The SingularityNET (AGIX) tries to push this story of a decentralized AI network. And the Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) offers a supposed "secure" platform for data sharing.
They say they want to take AI out of the hands of big techs. Nice speech, but who guarantees that they won't become the new monopolists? They talk about open source, data sovereignty, and AI security as if they were the saviors of the digital world.
They work on several fronts: decentralized AI ( will it really be? ), research and development ( like any company in the field ), sharing infrastructure ( nothing innovative ) and "public awareness" ( read as marketing ).
Of course, they created their own token! The ASI is used for transaction fees, funding projects, and providing "management participation". In other words: yet another scheme to make you invest in their little coin.
This ASI could even become something important in the future of AI, but I wouldn't bet my money on it. For now, it's just another project full of promises in a sea of similar initiatives.
