When is the best time to trade Bitcoin?
Many traders wonder when the actual “close” of the BTC market is. The answer is simpler than it seems: the crypto day runs from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 UTC. Every 24 hours, one candle closes and a new one opens.
Important: The crypto market operates 24/7, but traders measure performance using 24-hour daily candles. They compare the current price with the price exactly 24 hours ago to analyze trends.
When is the most movement?
Peak trading hours are usually between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in your local time zone. That’s when the highest trading volume occurs in each region, so prices tend to move more.
Technical note: A daily candle closes and a new one opens after 00:00:00 UTC. If there are no trades for 14 seconds, the candle still opens regardless.
The weekly candle is different: it closes when the Sunday daily candle closes.
In summary: there’s no “market close” like in traditional stock markets, but there are 24-hour cycles that everyone follows.
