Abstract generation in progress

Slovenia’s trade deficit narrowed sharply to EUR 210.7 million in December 2025 from EUR 891.3 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. Exports climbed 13.3% year-on-year to EUR 5,363.4 million, due to higher sales to both the EU (1.5%) and non-EU countries (23.7%). On the other hand, imports fell by 0.9% to EUR 5,574 million, largely driven by a drop in purchases from non-EU countries (-3%), while arrivals increased from the EU (1.6%). Considering the entire year, the country posted a surplus of EUR 1,488.4 million, reversing a trade deficit of EUR 7,701.7 million recorded in the same period last year.
