Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) spokesperson Hazim Kassim issued a statement on February 3rd local time, stating that although the ceasefire agreement in Gaza is entering its second phase, Israel continues to heavily restrict aid supplies entering the Gaza Strip, and there has been no improvement in the flow of supplies. Kassim said that with a new cold wave hitting Gaza, the situation for displaced persons is becoming increasingly difficult. The current tents cannot withstand the cold and rain, exacerbating the humanitarian disaster. Additionally, Israel strictly limits the entry of fuel and gas, allowing only a very small amount of supplies through, which seriously violates the ceasefire agreement. The statement also pointed out that Israel’s current broad restrictions on aid supplies reveal that the number of aid trucks announced by Israel and related coordination departments is not accurate. Kassim stated that the actual number of rescue trucks entering Gaza is less than half of the figures claimed by Israel. (CCTV News)
