What are some good ways to solve the issues with a vehicle used for living abroad?

This winter, I am spending the season in Hainan. For someone like me who is afraid of the cold, the temperature is really very comfortable. I plan to live in Hainan for about three months every winter from now on. During my stay in Hainan, I need a car, but I haven’t come up with a good solution yet.

  1. Drive from my hometown. It’s 1,500 kilometers away, which is a bit too much.
  2. Have a truck shipped here. I haven’t tried this before, so I don’t know if it’s convenient.
  3. Rent a car in Hainan. The downside is that it’s quite expensive and not cost-effective, and other people’s cars may not be very user-friendly.
  4. Buy a cheap car to leave in Hainan. It seems that if I leave it unused for about nine months, the vehicle might get damaged.
After thinking it over, it seems that only the second option is slightly better. Do you guys have any good suggestions?
