A somewhat rigorous controversial take: only S types keep dogs, everyone who keeps cats is M.

All the cat owners I know have people-pleasing personalities and care deeply about others' opinions. Not all dog owners are S, but S types can't accept serving cats—if they want to keep a pet, they'll choose dogs.
