ComEd, a unit of Exelon, has announced “The Exelon Promise” to combat rising energy costs in northern Illinois. This initiative focuses on immediate customer relief, robust protections for customers against growing demand, and long-term solutions to address the root causes of high energy bills. Measures include a $10 million Customer Relief Fund, a Low-Income Discount program, Delivery Time-of-Day pricing, and implementation of Transmission Security Agreements to ensure large energy users cover their infrastructure costs.
