After Israel and the United States attacked Iranian energy assets, the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity stated on Wednesday that Iran’s natural gas supplies to Iraq have been completely cut off.

Ahmed Moussa, spokesperson for the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, said that Iraq’s power generation has lost 3.1 gigawatts (GW) after Iran stopped supplying natural gas. Iran supplies one-third to 40% of Iraq’s natural gas and electricity needs.

According to Iranian sources, some petrochemical facilities at South Pars Field and Asaluyeh were targeted in attacks by the United States and Israel. Subsequently, reports indicated that the natural gas processing plants from phases 3 to 6 at South Pars were hit by US and Israeli drones.
