UK charges two men with national security offences linked to Iran

March 18 (Reuters) - British prosecutors said on Wednesday ​they have charged ‌two men with engaging in contact ​that is likely ​to assist a foreign ⁠intelligence service, ​following a counter-terrorism policing ​investigation.

The country to which the investigation relates ​is Iran, the ​Crown Prosecution Service said ‌in ⁠a statement.

The men were arrested and detained earlier this month ​as ​part ⁠of an investigation into alleged ​surveillance of ​locations ⁠and individuals linked to the Jewish ⁠community ​in the ​London area.
