Prudential Gibraltar staff allegedly took Japan agency data without approval – report

Prudential Gibraltar Financial Life Insurance Co. reported that 11 seconded employees in Japan unauthorizedly removed operational and sales data from seven contracted agencies on 379 occasions and shared it internally for sales promotion strategies. This disclosure follows an earlier misconduct scandal involving Prudential’s Japanese life business, leading to the CEO’s resignation and a voluntary 90-day suspension of new sales. The companies are implementing structural reforms focused on sales compensation, oversight, risk management, and corporate culture to address these issues.
