Abstract generation in progress

A new study by Humana Healthcare Research and Yale School of Medicine found a significant increase in the use of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) among Medicare Advantage members with type 2 diabetes from 2021 to 2023. This rise, concurrent with expanded Medicare coverage, highlights the devices’ clinical importance in managing diabetes, particularly for those with complex health issues. Starting in 2026, most Humana Medicare Advantage plans will fully cover CGMs at no out-of-pocket cost, making these advanced tools more accessible.
