Lagarde: ECB Ready to Raise Rates at Any Meeting

Mars Finance reports that, according to Jintou, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde stated that if inflationary shocks caused by the Iran war get out of control, the ECB could raise interest rates as early as April. Lagarde emphasized that it is still too early to make any decisions on interest rates, as policymakers need to assess the nature, scale, and persistence of the expected inflation driven by rising energy prices.
