The first-instance verdict has been announced for Tan Ruisong, former Party Secretary and Chairman of China Aviation Industry Corporation Limited, who was involved in charges of corruption, bribery, insider trading, and leaking insider information.

Defendant Tan Ruisong was sentenced to 15 years in prison for corruption, with a fine of 5 million yuan (RMB); sentenced to death for bribery, suspended for two years, with lifelong political rights deprivation, and confiscation of all personal assets; and sentenced to 6 years in prison for insider trading and leaking insider information, with a fine, the death sentence was decided to be suspended for two years, with lifelong political rights deprivation, and confiscation of all personal assets.

The illicit gains from corruption, bribery, and insider trading, along with their interest, will be confiscated and returned to the victims or the state treasury according to law, and illegal gains from insider trading will continue to be pursued.

The investigation found that from July 2003 to 2010, Tan Ruisong used his position to illegally possess public property totaling 89.93 million yuan; from 1998 to 2024, he illegally accepted property worth more than 613 million yuan.
