Mars Finance News: On March 25, Wang Zhonglin, Secretary of the Hubei Provincial Committee and Director of the Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee, presided over the 2026 Q1 Digital Intelligence Economy Development Promotion Conference. Wang Zhonglin emphasized the need to further strengthen support, accelerate the development of a support system based on data, powered by computing power, driven by algorithms, and grounded in electricity. This includes proactively deploying computing infrastructure, promoting algorithm innovation, enhancing high-quality data supply, improving electricity security, and solidifying the foundation for artificial intelligence development.

He also called for intensified research and development efforts around core technologies such as general-purpose deep learning chips, integrated AI chips for storage and computing, and multimodal human-computer interaction; supporting leading enterprises with strong growth potential to accelerate their development and drive overall advancement through key breakthroughs; improving the “Talent Support System” for recruitment, training, utilization, and service, and attracting more high-end talent.

Furthermore, Wang stressed the importance of expanding application scenarios according to the principle of “as open as possible,” including production, work, and daily life scenarios; accelerating the production and application of representative products like humanoid robots, leading production through products, and driving R&D through production; implementing cautious and inclusive regulation for new products, technologies, and business models; and speeding up the deep integration of artificial intelligence with economic and social development.
