People’s Financial News, March 24 — Recently, gold prices have been fluctuating continuously. Ren Fei, fund manager of China-Europe Fund, stated that he remains optimistic about the long-term trend of gold. First, the Iran-U.S. conflict has gradually become a tug-of-war. It is quite difficult for the U.S. and its allies to completely conquer Iran. In the end, it may still result in a cycle of fighting, stopping, and repeated negotiations, failing to demonstrate the dominance the U.S. once had in the Middle East. Instead, this process has further accumulated debt and affected its creditworthiness. Second, between interest rate hikes and cuts, the U.S. may find it difficult to raise rates and might even need to cut rates to ease government debt payments and support AI development, making monetary policy hard to tighten.
