Market hopes that the US can facilitate a ceasefire with Iran through diplomacy led to a significant drop in international oil prices, which in turn drove a sharp rebound in U.S. stocks early Wednesday. The Dow opened 190 points higher, with gains expanding to as much as 594 points, reaching a high of 46,718 points. The S&P 500 rose 1.18%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq increased by 1.52%.
