Shenzhen Green Electricity and Green Certificate Trading Volume Exceeds 68 Billion Kilowatt-Hours
This newspaper report from Shenzhen on March 24th (Reporter Cheng Yuanzhou): According to the Southern Power Grid Corporation, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau will establish the country’s first physical, market-oriented, and routine virtual power plant management center. It has served Shenzhen by building over 1,098 supercharging stations; deepened operations of the nation’s first government-authorized green electricity and green certificate service center, and launched the first green vehicle charging and green electricity purchase services nationwide, expanding green electricity and green certificate consumption to residents. The total trading volume of green electricity and green certificates has exceeded 68 billion kWh.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau will complete fixed investments that have increased by 43% compared to the 13th Five-Year Plan; high-quality construction of the Guangdong target grid (Shenzhen section), and optimization of the 500 kV Zhu-Dong South grid; serving over 600 major projects, and adding 65 substations of 110 kV and above.
By 2026, the Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau will implement the “Four Major Enhancements” campaign for the main grid, focusing on solving bottleneck issues in grid development, accelerating the construction of key projects, and establishing “fast electricity” benchmarks in areas like Hetao and Qianhai, promoting interconnection of power infrastructure between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
