Over 2,700 universities and research institutions nationwide completed inventory of 1.349 million existing patents

The State Council Information Office held a press conference this afternoon (23rd), where the National Intellectual Property Administration and other departments introduced the implementation of the Special Action Plan for Patent Transformation and Application (2023–2025). During the campaign, the first nationwide inventory of over 134,900 existing patents from more than 2,700 universities and research institutions was completed, identifying 680,000 invention patents with good transformation prospects and accurately connecting with 460,000 enterprises. More than 16,000 roadshow activities such as “Intellectual Property Service Thousands of Miles” were organized across various regions, resulting in patent transactions exceeding 15 billion yuan.
