Iran Reportedly Refuses to Negotiate with Wittekov and Kushner
On March 25, People’s Financial News reported that Iran refused to accept U.S. Special Envoy Wittekov and Trump’s son-in-law Kushner as U.S. negotiators, accusing both of “breach of trust.” The report cited sources from Gulf countries saying that Iran would not sit at the same negotiation table with Wittekov and Kushner because they represented the U.S. in the third round of indirect talks with Iran held in Geneva, Switzerland, on February 26. However, shortly after the negotiations ended, the U.S. launched a military strike against Iran. The sources also revealed that Iran prefers U.S. Vice President Vance as the negotiator to engage with Iranian Parliament Speaker Kalibaf. (Xinhua)
