Erno Hildén brings considerable expertise from his extensive background in the global aviation sector. The Finland-based executive has held multiple operational leadership positions throughout his career, including serving as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Finnair. Most recently, Hildén served as Executive Vice President for privatization initiatives at Saudia Airlines, where he contributed to strategic financial operations on a regional scale.

His dual experience in financial and operational management positions him well to navigate complex transformation challenges. The combination of CFO and COO experience demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of airline operations and balance sheet management—critical capabilities during organizational change.

Anko van der Werff, President and Chief Executive Officer of SAS, emphasized that Erno Hildén will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s SAS FORWARD transformation program.
