JUST IN: Google is protecting Android 17 against future quantum attacks.


Google will implement NIST post quantum cryptography standards in Android 17, covering everything from system boot to app signing.
The change will apply to the entire system architecture, not just individual apps.
Google has been working on post-quantum cryptography since 2016 and has set 2029 as the migration deadline.
