ANZ Bank: Oil prices may remain above $100 per barrel in the short term
ANZ Research Department stated in a report that oil prices are expected to remain above $100 per barrel in the short term, reflecting the impact of war premiums and supply disruptions. Although oil prices may decline in the coming quarters if the conflict ends in March, ANZ does not believe they will return to the $60-$70 per barrel range. Production disruptions have already altered the supply and demand balance in the oil market this year. ANZ forecasts that the average oil price in 2026 will be above $90 per barrel.
