According to market sources: Brazil enacted Law No. 15358 on March 25, 2026, which allows for the temporary use of seized crypto assets to fund public security initiatives, even before the final conviction of associated criminal gang members. This funding will cover the procurement of police equipment, intelligence operations, and law enforcement training. The law expands the authority of judicial bodies to freeze cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets, establishes penalties for the use of privacy tools in criminal activities, and strengthens efforts to trace and recover cross-border crypto assets.
