OpenAI has indefinitely suspended the development of ChatGPT's "adult content" mode. The feature was initially proposed by CEO Sam Altman in October last year but faced criticism both inside and outside the company. Previously, the company had deprioritized the instant checkout feature and shut down the Sora AI video generator. This move is part of OpenAI's strategic adjustment to respond to increasingly fierce competition from rivals like Anthropic, shifting focus toward enterprise users and developers.
