Cathay Pacific Increases Fuel Surcharge Again, Short-Haul $389

Middle Eastern conflict causes oil prices to soar, leading to a rise in shipping costs. Cathay Pacific (00293) has added a fuel surcharge again within two weeks. Starting April 1, the surcharge for short-haul flights will increase from $290 to $389, a $99 rise. Long-haul flights will go from $1,164 to $1,560, a $396 increase. The percentage increase for both is 34%. Cathay Pacific states that the fuel surcharge will now be reviewed every two weeks instead of monthly to better reflect changes in airline fuel prices.
