Blockchain-based lottery startup Megapot has raised funds in a $5 million funding round led by Dragonfly, with participation from Coinbase Ventures and others. The platform was founded by a former Microsoft and Uniswap employee, operates on the Base blockchain, and uses stablecoins for payments. Its daily lottery ticket costs $1 and currently covers over 150 countries/regions, excluding the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. The company plans to use this new funding for global expansion and to compete with traditional lotteries by offering higher prizes.
