The Ministry of Foreign Affairs comments on the Middle East situation: all parties should create conditions for initiating truly meaningful and sincere peace talks.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, stated during a regular press conference on March 26 regarding the conflict in Iran that China has repeatedly emphasized that the prolongation of the conflict does not serve the interests of any party. Continuing this war will only bring more casualties and unnecessary losses, leading to further spillover of the situation. The urgent priority is to actively promote peace and dialogue, seize the opportunity for peace, and push for the cessation of hostilities. We support all efforts that are conducive to easing tensions. All parties should work together to create conditions for initiating truly meaningful and sincere peace talks. China is willing to continue to play a constructive role in this regard. (Xinhua News Agency)
