The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced today (the 24th) the appointment of four new members to the Chief Executive’s Advisory Group. The terms will take effect from April 1, 2026, until June 30, 2027. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee stated that since its establishment in 2023, the Advisory Group has been providing valuable and constructive advice to the Chief Executive on Hong Kong’s strategic development. The newly appointed members are all leaders in cutting-edge fields such as hard technology and life sciences, and their participation will further expand the professional scope of the Advisory Group. John Lee looks forward to the members of the Advisory Group continuing to offer insights on key issues such as how Hong Kong can consolidate and enhance its international competitiveness, better integrate with and serve the national development agenda, and deepen international exchanges and cooperation, within the context of actively aligning with the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan, thus creating a new chapter in Hong Kong’s high-quality development.
