Three Attacks on Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Ten Days
On March 28, Iranian media reported that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was attacked on the night of March 27. No damage to the plant has been found, and there are no reports of casualties. The report noted that the plant is operational and stores a large amount of radioactive material, making any attack potentially capable of triggering a serious nuclear incident. Attacks by the United States and Israel on facilities for the peaceful use of nuclear energy violate international law and pose a serious security threat to the region. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released a statement late on the 27th, indicating that it had received reports from Iran that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant had been attacked again, marking the third attack on the plant in ten days. The Iranian report also stated that the operational reactor was not damaged, and there was no radiation leak. The IAEA stated that its Director General, Grossi, urged all parties to exercise maximum military restraint to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident.
