(MENAFN) The United Kingdom and Türkiye have signed a new agreement focused on technical and operational support for Eurofighter Typhoon jets, marking another step in strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries, according to reports.

The deal was concluded in London during a meeting between Türkiye’s National Defense Minister Yasar Guler and UK Defense Secretary John Healey.

The agreement centers on maintenance, logistical assistance, and ongoing technical support for the aircraft within the framework of the Eurofighter Typhoon program. Officials said the objective is to ensure the long-term operational readiness of the fleet.

In parallel discussions, the two defense officials also reviewed broader areas of military and strategic cooperation between their respective countries.

Authorities confirmed that a separate agreement related to the procurement of aircraft, equipment, and munitions connected to the program had already been finalized earlier in October.

Both sides expressed a shared commitment to further deepening defense ties in the years ahead, indicating continued collaboration in military capability development and support systems.
