Xinhua News Agency, New York, March 25 — The U.S. dollar index rose on March 25.

The U.S. dollar index, which measures the U.S. dollar against six major currencies, rose 0.18% that day, and closed at 99.614 at the end of trading in the foreign exchange market.

As of the close of trading in the New York foreign exchange market, 1 euro exchanged for 1.1578 U.S. dollars, up from 1.1569 U.S. dollars in the previous trading session; 1 pound sterling exchanged for 1.3382 U.S. dollars, up from 1.3366 U.S. dollars in the previous trading session.

1 U.S. dollar exchanged for 159.28 Japanese yen, up from 159.14 Japanese yen in the previous trading session; 1 U.S. dollar exchanged for 0.7910 Swiss francs, down from 0.7918 Swiss francs in the previous trading session; 1 U.S. dollar exchanged for 1.3808 Canadian dollars, up from 1.3783 Canadian dollars in the previous trading session; 1 U.S. dollar exchanged for 9.3320 Swedish kronor, down from 9.3669 Swedish kronor in the previous trading session.
