Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee said that, to promote global development, Hong Kong in the future will make efforts in three main areas: First, actively expand the global trade network and work toward joining the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Second, make good use of Hong Kong’s worldwide business and trade network by using the “Mainland enterprises going global task force” to help Mainland enterprises “go global,” while also connecting global investors with Hong Kong’s professional services. Third, promote regional economic development and prosperity, fully support the 2026 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting hosted by the country, and seize the opportunity of Hong Kong hosting the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting to deepen regional cooperation. Hong Kong is willing to complement the advantages of Hainan’s free trade port and, together with global partners, build an open and prosperous future. (Voice of the Greater Bay Area)
