Meta delays the release of AI models

Previously, the media reported that Meta has been developing a text-based artificial intelligence model codenamed “Avocado” since last December, and planned to roll it out in the first quarter.

However, the latest information says that Meta has pushed back the release date of the “Avocado” AI model code from March to at least May. According to people familiar with the matter, Meta spent several months developing this AI model, but in internal reasoning, coding, and writing tests, its performance fell short of leading AI models from competitors such as Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
