Techub News reports that, according to U.Today, the XRP Ledger Foundation (XRPLF) announced the appointment of Ripple Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz as an honorary board member. Schwartz is one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger, and this appointment aims to strengthen the foundation’s technical governance of the ecosystem. XRPLF is an independent, non-profit organization separate from Ripple, responsible for supporting the growth and security of the XRP Ledger. The organization stated that Schwartz’s deep technical insights and long-term perspective will help enhance the foundation’s technical management and promote the development of complex new features in the ecosystem, such as DeFi, AMMs, and smart contracts.
