According to the Whale Alert monitoring, on December 2, TechFlow reported that Ripple re-locked 7.7 billion XRP at 2:21 today in a hosted wallet, worth about $15.46 billion. Previously, Ripple stated that it would use the hosted wallet system to provide transparency and certainty to the XRP market. The company locks up most of the XRP holdings to ensure that it does not oversupply the market and manipulate prices.
