Altcoin Supply and Demand Balance Disrupted

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez thinks that the altcoin seasons can no longer be as strong as they were in the past. Martinez expressed that the massive size of the altcoin supply in the market has surpassed demand:

"In the off-season of 2017-2018, there were less than 3,000 altcoins in total. Today, this number has exceeded 36.4 million. This situation has fundamentally changed the market.

Economist Alex Krüger who shares a similar opinion, said that the excessive supply makes altcoin seasons unsustainable. Krüger predicts that future altcoin seasons may only last a few days or weeks. He also noted that it is increasingly difficult for investors to choose the right projects among the increasing options.

"Choosing a good altcoin is now very difficult. Just like finding the right investments in stocks is difficult.

Memecoins and Low-Quality Projects Are Causing Issues

Anonymous crypto trader Ash Crypto believes that the altcoin market is diluted with memecoins and low-quality tokens. Ash Crypto stated that exchanges list these projects only to increase volume, and individual investors suffer significant losses after investing in these tokens.

"Memecoins dilute the market. Investors enter into such projects and leave the market after losing 80 percent within a week."
