PANews, April 26 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Committee, which will provide advice to the Department of Homeland Security on the safe and responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies in critical infrastructure in the United States. The committee, which includes 22 representatives from software and hardware companies, critical infrastructure operators, public officials, the civil rights community, and academia, is tasked with developing recommendations to help critical infrastructure stakeholders such as transportation service providers, pipeline and grid operators, and internet service providers leverage AI technologies more responsibly. The establishment of the Commission is one of the key actions to address the rapid development of AI technology, aiming to ensure the safe and responsible use of AI technology through cross-sectoral cooperation, while protecting the country's critical infrastructure from potential threats. ING: The widening of crude oil spreads indicates a tightening of the crude oil market

ING analysts said that the spread between Brent crude oil and WTI crude oil has widened further, that is, the spot price is higher than the futures price, indicating that the fundamentals of the crude oil market continue to be strong. The ICE Brent front-month contract is trading at a premium of nearly $1 per barrel to the second-month contract, up from $0.70 a barrel at the end of last week. Oil prices surged to a fresh five-month high on Tuesday amid heightened hostilities in the Middle East and reports that Mexico plans to stop supplying its main product, Maya crude, to refineries in the United States, Europe and Asia, a move that will further tighten global supplies.

World Bank expects China's GDP to grow by 5.6% in 2023
