About Obyte (GBYTE)
Obyte wurde am 25. Dezember 2016 eingeführt und ist ein verteiltes Hauptbuch, das auf einem gerichteten azyklischen Graphen (DAG) basiert. Dank des Fehlens von Blöcken und Minern ist der Zugang zum Obyte-Hauptbuch dezentralisiert, disintermediiert, frei (im Sinne von Freiheit), gleichberechtigt und offen.
Obyte ist die erste DAG-basierte Kryptowährungsplattform, die dApps unterstützt. Aufgrund des Fehlens von Minern und Blöcken besteht kein Risiko von Front-Running und anderen Manipulationen durch Miner, und dApps sind sicherer und einfacher zu entwickeln als Blockchain-basierte dApps. DApps werden in Oscript entwickelt - einer neuen Sprache, die viele unsichere Programmiermuster vermeidet, die bei früheren dApp-Plattformen üblich waren.
Dank seiner Sicherheit eignet sich Obyte besonders gut für DeFi-Anwendungen, von denen einige bereits auf der Plattform verfügbar sind, wie zum Beispiel Discount Stablecoins (https://ostable.org), andere befinden sich in der Entwicklung.
Zu den weiteren Funktionen gehören: selbstsouveräne Identität, private nicht nachverfolgbare Währungen, das Senden von Kryptowährungen per E-Mail mittels Textcoins und extrem ressourcenschonende Bibliotheken, die für kleine IoT-Geräte geeignet sind.
