Glassnode: A group of Bitcoin investors suddenly sold a large amount of Bitcoin (BTC) to realize profits.

Gate News bot message, analysis platform Glassnode indicates that a group of Bitcoin investors suddenly sold a large amount of BTC to take profits. According to the data from this analysis platform, those who held Bitcoin for 6 to 12 months suddenly locked in huge profits, with the speed surpassing all other groups, realizing $904 million in profits on Monday.

"Last week, we emphasized that BTC wallets holding for more than 12 months are the main beneficiaries," Glassnode said.

But this trend has now reversed. On Monday, investors holding bonds for less than 12 months accounted for 83% of all realized profits. Investors holding bonds for only 6 to 12 months achieved a profit of $904 million – the second highest single-day profit so far this year.

Glassnode indicates that investors with the same investment horizon of 6 to 12 months gained more profits two months ago.

On June 16, medium-term cycle buyers (6-12 months) increased their realized profits by $904 million. In terms of daily average profit, this is second only to the peak in April, indicating that buyers are currently making significant moves for the fourth quarter of 2024.

However, the analysis company stated that the behavior of selling Bitcoin for profit is slowing down for long-term BTC holders.

"Meanwhile, holders with more than 12 months of holding have only realized $324 million in profits, which is a significant decline compared to the sustained profits in May and the peak of about $1.2 billion last week. The bottom line is: experienced BTC holders are currently exiting, while newer tokens are driving market dumping pressure."
