Vitalik emphasized the importance of Ethereum decentralization at the EthCC conference.

According to Gate News bot, CoinDesk reported that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed three core testing standards for Ethereum decentralization during his speech at the EthCC conference in France. These standards include: exit test (whether user assets are safe after the project party disappears), internal attack test (the system’s ability to resist internal malicious acts), and trusted computing base test (the amount of code that needs to be trusted to protect user assets).

Vitalik pointed out that the majority of current Layer 2 networks and DeFi projects rely on mutable backdoors or centralized front ends, while privacy solutions expose users’ transaction histories due to their dependence on third-party logins. In his speech, he emphasized the necessity of making privacy a default feature and streamlining the code trust base. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Ethereum mainnet launch, he reiterated the importance of achieving true decentralization guarantees.
